CSI College of Education

CSI College of Education Pasumalai has its root in modern educational system which was introduced in India by the American Madura Missionaries 150 years ago from the year 1840.  CSI College of Education Pasumalai is a unit managed and run by the Diocese of Madurai-Ramnad.  Rt. Rev. Dr. M. JOSEPH the Bishop of Madurai – Ramnad being the Chairman of the College he is shouldering 183 institutions acroos 6 revenue districts in South TamilNadu.  Under the Bishop Chairmanship the CSI Madurai – Ramnad management monitors the following Colleges.

CSI Arts & Science College for Women, K.Pudur, Madurai
CSI Dental College, Madurai
CSI Nursing College, Madurai
CSI College of Education, Ramnad
CSI College of Education, Pasumalai, Madurai

The Diocesan management also having 2 teacher training institutes and a school of nursing and one trade school, 138 primary schools, 12 Higher Secondary Schools through these institutions the Diocese imparting education in the lives of 45000 students every year.  Since 2006 the CSI College of Education Pasumalai has produced 700 graduate teachers with professionally high standards to match the changing trends in education as 21st century teacher educators.  Recently CSI College of Education for its meticulous graduate teacher training intervention got a land mark recognition and accredited by NAAC and positioned in ‘B’ Grade.
